The Welcoming Ministry

The Welcoming Ministry provides a warm welcome to visitors to St. Andrew’s. This ministry supports the integration of newcomers into our congregational family. Members serve as greeters at 10:00 am Sunday services and at special services throughout the year.

We encourage visitors to sign the guest register and to stay for coffee, snacks and fellowship after the service. We facilitate introductions and provide information for visitors and newcomers. The greeter for the day also makes a phone call or writes a personal note to follow-up with those visitors who provide contact information.

Two to three times a year, we organize and prepare a Welcoming Dinner for newcomers who have been attending St. Andrew’s regularly. This is hosted by The Rev. Peter and Melissa Browning in their home. The Welcoming Ministry meets as a group every two to three months.
