Join us on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 3:30 p.m. for an evening of singing, food and church decorating.
Wondering why the church is dressed in blue while the rest of the world is red and green? Well, it’s Advent; the beginning of the new church year and a period of four weeks when we prepare a place in our hearts and our lives for the coming of the infant Jesus. So this is a season of candles and anticipation; but never fear, Christmas will come. While the rest of southern California is putting away their decorations, the 12 days of Christmas are just beginning for us.
That does mean that when Advent is over we need to put up our decorations (they don’t hang themselves). So, on the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 19 at 3:30 p.m., join us for one of the loveliest services in Anglican tradition—an Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols, potluck nibbles, and church decorating.
