Small groups
continue to meet
WEDNESDAY EVENINGS Monthly formation groups, meeting in the chapel, explore healing and recovery, prayer and spirituality, and the Bible and theology.

Not everyone, it appears, is watching “Law and Order” on Wednesday evenings: just look at our thriving small focus groups, which continue to meet at 7 p.m. for chapel, followed by study and fellowship. Members of Saint Andrew’s are invited to join these intimate groups at any time to share scripture, spirituality, or the quest for wholeness and health.

The first Wednesday of each month is devoted to Healing and Recovery, where the emphasis currently falls on both sharing and reconciliation under the offices of the church. The worship leader at the next meeting, on Aug. 2, will be Mary Ann Hayes.

Prayer and Spirituality meets on the second Wednesday of every month, to explore Christian prayer traditions, individual prayer lives, and the ways they might intersect.

On the fourth Wednesday of each month, the Bible and Theology group is currently studying Bruce Malina’s The New Testament World: Insights from Cultural Anthropology. With worship leader Donna Hedman, they’ll be discussing Chapter One at their meeting on July 23; the group will read Matthew’s gospel to prepare for the Aug. 27th meeting.
